Abstract

Primary psychogenic anorgasmia was diagnosed in a married man who had attended the andrological clinic as a result of primary sterility of 6 yr duration. Attempts to stimulate an ejaculation by means of an electrovibrator were unsuccessful. It was impossible to produce even an erection. Ejaculation of normal semen was achieved for the first time after instructing the man's wife in the use of the apparatus, and the means of making a therapeutic attempt in the home environment. Homologous insemination with this semen led to conception. It is suggested that in mechanical therapeutic attempts to overcome male psychogenic anorgasmia, the female partner should be included in the planned therapy, to allow a therapeutic attempt in the home environment.
