Abstract

In this paper we provide a schematic description and an explanation for how the process of super resolved imaging may be understood by using Wigner based phase space. The advantage of using the Wigner space is related to the fact that it can mathematically be related to the spatial degrees of freedom of a signal and thus be used to understand the operation of super resolving imaging systems.
