Abstract
We study theoretically wave scattering from and transmission through a film containing a random distribution of volume scatterers in the case that the thickness of the film is small in comparison to the mean free path of the wave. We predict the existence of satellite peaks to the enhanced backscattering and enhanced transmission peaks in the angular distribution of the intensity of the diffuse components of the scattered and transmitted waves, respectively. These satellite peaks occur at angles that are defined by degenerate time-reversal symmetry in a scattering system with a discrete spectrum of eigenmodes.
