Abstract

Wave propagation in planar waveguides with nonlinear surface impedance and nonlinear dielectric permittivity has been studied analytically. Dispersion equation for wave numbers and implicit expressions for transversal wave functions of propagating modes have been found in general form for a broad class of nonlinearities. As examples media with arbitrary weak nonlinearity and with saturation of dielectric permeability have been considered.
