Abstract

Suggests that there are significant differences between schizophrenics and normals in objective measures of perception. One of the parameters differentiating paranoid vs nonparanoid schizophrenics is the extent to which they scan the surroundings in search of stimuli. It is suggested that design of experiments should not fail to take into account the parameters of scanning and size estimation for clearer interpretation of results.
