Abstract
Written following the death of Claude Vigée, this text is a short homage that attempts to retain the most outstanding points of the poet's work, and his living contribution to us. It is organized around three themes: memory, presence, and reading. Vigée's work is a work of memory and testimony. It affirms his faith in life and recognizes a divine presence in nature and in man. It speaks to us through reading as a friend speaks to another friend.
