Abstract
In the theory of relativity, time dilation is a difference of
elapsed time between two events as measured by observers
either moving relative to each other or differently situated
from a gravitational mass or masses.
Pauline Oliveros describes Deep Listening as
“listening in every possible way to everything
possible to hear no matter what one is doing.”
Basically Deep Listening, as developed by Oliveros,
explores the difference between the involuntary
nature of hearing and the voluntary,
selective nature - exclusive and inclusive -- of listening.
This composition is In memory of Pauline Oliveros (1932-2016).
Performed by: Hagai Yodam, piano.
Recorded at Bar-Ilan University 2017.
