Abstract
Three cases of tension between the context of a word and its grammatical form, such that the word formally refers to a noun other than that suggested by the context, are examined. It is proposed that they be seen as representatives of a special type of secondary meaning and intended to intensify or blunt the assessment of Solomon's behavior, as well as to serve a theodicic function.
