Abstract

We present a theory of time-resolved and frequency-resolved resonance hyper-Raman induced by realistic, coherent, quasi-rectangular pulses. In particular, we treat the case where the mean frequency ω of the incident pulse is in near-resonance with the molecular transition frequency ωmn. New peaks are predicted and saturation effects are discussed.
