Abstract

An essay of the relationship between Israeli thinker Yeshayahu Leibowitz and French Jewish philosopher Emmanuel Levinas is presented.‪ It argues the philosophical affinity between them based on their call of religion.‪ Topics include the critical inquiry of theodicy, role of German culture on the intellectual and cultural development of Leibowitz, and antisemitism before the World War II
