    Abstract

The aim of the present study was to ascertain the validity of the Students' Social Orientation Questionnaire (SSOQ), a new instrument specially compiled to measure high school students' orientations toward major social issues. The findings indicate that the SSOQ is a valid and reliable measure of occupational aspirations, social image, study motivation, social integration and good citizen-ship for a representative sample of Israeli high school students.
