Abstract
A convenient synthesis of the two new 3,4-dialkylidenethiolane derivatives 11 and 13, starting with the readily available condensed heterocycle 6 is described. Besides their synthetic utility as 1,3-dienes, these compounds are also of interest for the preparation of tetramethyleneethane diradical precursors.
