Abstract

The first crystallographic evidences of the theoretically suggested C 2-symmetric cyclohexameric form of liquid methanol and the S 6-symmetric cyclohexameric form of liquid ethanol are reported, trapped inside a hydrophilic pocket shielded by tert-butyl groups.
