Abstract

In this paper a new topology for a passive bus is presented, enabling parallel transmissions. The topology is similar to the Folded Bus, except that the bus edges are simulated by one station with active taps. We implement the D-Net MAC on this topology, with several slight changes. These changes, together with the new topology, enable parallel transmissions in part of the transmission cycle generated by D-Net, thus achieving higher efficiency.
