Abstract

I return to an article on the future of statistics written by Sir Maurice Kendall some 30 years ago. I draw some parallels between the state of general statistics at that time and the state of biostatistics today, and try to learn from the successes and omissions in Sir Maurice's predictions to make my own limited projections for the next 10 years.
