Abstract
Hemilepistus reaumuri is one of the most plentiful macroscopic invertebrates in the Negev desert. Although burrows are less dense on S facing slopes, survival is higher; survival is lower on N facing slopes but burrow density is higher. Choice of a suitable geological formation coupled with slope aspect, seems necessary to maximise survival on rocky hillsides.-from Authors
