Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the fundamental groups of Galois covers of planar Zappatic deformations of type Ek. Using Moishezon-Teicher's algorithm, we prove that the Galois covers of the generic fiber of planar Zappatic deformations of type Ek (k = 6, 7, 8, 9) are simply-connected; we also compute their Chern numbers.
