Abstract
Adult cats were subjected to monocular light deprivation for periods ranging from 12 to 20 days. Deprivation resulted in a significant decrease in the slope of the dark adapted b wave amplitude luminance (input output) function, as well as what appears to be a truncated input output function. When a nonmonotonicity appears in the b wave amplitude luminance function, it is exaggerated in the light deprived eye.
