Abstract

The objective of the method is to design and microprogram fast signal processors (SP) while optimally utilizing the inherent parallelism of a given algorithm. The method is based on graph theoretical concepts borrowed from ″project management″ and permits an easy evaluation of key design parameters. The design approach is illustrated by the realization of a 4th-order digital filter.
