Abstract

Nd doped bismuth ferrite nanocrystals have been synthesized by the hydrothermal route. XRD, HRTEM, studies were done for the structural characterization of the samples. The a.c. conductivity of different BiFe 1-xNd xO 3 (x=0, 0.01, 0.03, 0.05, 0.07) nanoparticles have been investigated within a temperature cy dependent 77□ T □ 300K. Frequency dependent Conductivity of the nanocrystalline bismuth ferrite samples becomes lower when Nd is doped which indicates that doping of Nd will lower the leakage current.
