Abstract

Recent studies on the use of Na-K amalgam as a cleaning agent for ether solvents, and on the electrochemical behavior of methyl formate-Li salt/CO2 solutions have enabled a more accurate identification of surface films formed on lithium in 1,3-dioxolane. In contrast to what was previously published, it was found that Li-formate is one of the major species formed on Li in dioxolane.
