N2 - An electron paramagnetic resonance study of the transferred superhyperfine interaction between the Ir2+ Jahn-Teller ion and a next nearest neighbor 25Mg ion via an O2- ion in single crystals of MgO is reported. The results show that this interaction is strongest along the Jahn-Teller distortion axis.
