Abstract
Thermosetting acrylic (TSA) copolymers/resins were synthesised by reacting acrylic acid and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate monomers in varying molar ratios. The prepared resins were made water-soluble by neutralisation, and stoved films were tested for various properties. A 1:1 molar ratio of the monomers appears to provide the most useful balance of properties.
