Abstract

SrRuO3 is a 4d itinerant ferromagnet (Tc∼150 K) characterized by stripe domain structure (200 nm wide) with no closure domains and very narrow (∼3 nm) Bloch domain walls. The domain walls induce excess resistivity which we measure between 2 K and Tc. To distinguish the spin accumulation contribution to the domain wall resistivity (DWR), we measured the DWR for different angles between the current and the domain walls, and we identified a term proportional to the net spin-polarized current flowing perpendicular to the domain walls.
