Abstract
In recent years, the study of mammalian acrosomal exocytosis or the acrosome reaction has produced some major advances that challenge the long-held, general paradigms in the field. And so, although we’ve already known for decades the functional significance of acrosome reaction, as playing an essential role in fertilization, the exact site, timing, inducers, and molecular machineries are yet to be revealed. In this presentation, we will try to address some of these unresolved questions.
