Abstract
Anomalies in the degree of dissociation near a critical point of a ternary mixture are analyzed for a reaction of the type AB+C. The concentration- temperature curve has, at the critical point, an infinite slope (T-Tc)-(-1), where is the critical index. An isobutyric acid and water mixture, which consists of four components, has the same singularity in the charge density near a critical point. In any of the anomalies in the electrical conductivity in this mixture, or in similar systems, the singularity in the charge density must be considered.
