Abstract

The improved cycling performance of a LiCoPO4 cathode was observed in a 1 M LiPF6 ethylene carbonate (EC)/dimethyl carbonate (DMC) solution in LiCoPO4/Li cells with quartz separators. The reasons for the fast capacity fading of these cells with the ordinary polyethylene (PE) separators are discussed.
