Abstract

The existence of a transition from order to disorder in a copolymer with quenched disorder was analyzed. The kinetic barriers arosed due to the presence of quenched disorder and architectural complexity which limits the extent of long-range order in the systems. The characteristic length scale of the concentration fluctuations in the disordered randomly grafted copolymer (RGC) decreased as the transition was approached and was a universal function of T odt/T. The signatures of the order-disorder transition (ODT) of copolymers with sequence disorder were different from those in copolymers without sequence order.
