SERS of ultra-thin rhodamine 6G layers on Ag nanocrystals

Abstract

We demonstrate SERS enhancement factor of order of 108 from Rhodamine-6G submonolayers on Ag island films treated by focused laser beam to create specific spatial particle size distribution predicted in Li-Stockman-Bergman model.
