Abstract
The implementation of semi-lossless data compression in the field of text compression is discussed. The semi-lossless compression ideas are implemented on text compression on the basis of the fact that even if not all of the data is presented or incorrectly presented, the human brain can often makeup for the missing parts and mostly succeed in understanding all the required information. The idea of semi-lossless of compression is that the original text is not fully reconstructed and thereby the method is lossy. On the other hand, the knowledge of English aids in extraction of the full information of the original text, so that from the information point of view, the method can be considered as lossless.
