Abstract
2 boys, 15 and 16 years old, with secondary transsexualism are reported. Both requested sex change operations, which had they been performed, would have proved disastrous. They responded to relatively simple, short-term psychiatric treatment based on an eclectic approach which included behavioral, psychodynamic and educational elements.
