Abstract

In situ second harmonic generation reflected from the platinum electrode covered with polyaniline film has been observed. A drastic increase in the response in the vicinity of the insulator-to-metal transition is attributed to either non-linear electrochromic effect of variation in centrosymmetry of the polymer molecules in the course of electrochemical doping.
