Abstract

Large-radius polarons in the conducting layers of high-temperature superconductors have been investigated. The characteristic parameters of these polarons as functions both of the temperature and concentration of free charge carriers in the layer are calculated. The phenomenon of a giant enhancement of the spin-relaxation rate (1/T1) is predicted.
