Saturation effects in time - and frequency - resolved resonance Raman and resonance fluorescence are calculated using realistic steep quasi-rectangular pulses. In particular, our results reproduce the increased curvature of the leading edge of the time-resolved spectrum due to saturation observed by Rousseau and Williams.
