Abstract

Examining women Holocaust survivors' art reveals that one of the themes that surfaces repeatedly is that of sexual violence. This topic has not yet been thoroughly discussed in Holocaust art research despite already appearing in paintings created immediately after the Holocaust. The aim of the lecture is to introduce the topic of sexual violence during the Holocaust as represented in women's paintings from 1945 to the present
