Abstract
A multilink system consists of several full-duplex parallel links that carry data between two nodes. We construct a protocol—the multilink protocol (MLP)—that simulates a single full-duplex link system. We show that the multilink protocol proposed by the existing standard is not reliable, and we define a new multilink protocol that is proved to be reliable.
