Abstract

The recent distribution of two species of Asterina along the Mediterranean shore of Israel is described. The long-missing starfish, Asterina gibbosa, has recently been found again in Shiqmona on the northern Mediterranean coast of Israel. A. burtoni, previously not known south of 'Atlit, was recently found at Mikhmoret.
