N2 - A 48-year-old patient underwent an orthotopic liver transplantation for end stage liver disease. He was reinfected with hepatitis B and D, and his liver function tests deteriorated. In evaluation for liver retransplantation, chest computed tomography revealed a left lower lobe dense infiltrate. Two bronchoscopies with transbronchial biopsy specimens were performed with negative results for opportunistic infection. An open lung biopsy revealed intraalveolar calcifications. We review the literature for this uncommon complication after liver transplantation.
