Abstract
The integration of Artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) in autonomous vehicles is very important for the encouragement of the aspect of sustainable mobility. Since conventional mobility solutions rely largely on internal combustion, they have contributed to severe environmental problems like greenhouse emissions and resource depletion. AIoT technologies, however, provide innovative solutions to ensure improvement in the efficiency and safety of vehicle operation. Applications such as energy-efficient route planning, real-time traffic management, predictive maintenance, and intelligent control systems that reduce emissions are of prime importance. This chapter also covers the issues involved in the implementation of sustainable mobility, such as the limitation of existing infrastructures and the requirement for greater acceptance by consumers. Despite the challenges, the opportunities for AIoT are tremendous and lead the way to a cleaner and more efficient transportation ecosystem. The future of autonomous transportation, along with other cutting-edge technologies - such as advanced machine learning algorithms and 5G connectivity - will drive innovation and efficiency in the industry. AIoT will drive the transportation industry towards greater sustainability, fostering smarter urban environments and promoting a more sustainable future. It should be clearly emphasised that it requires cooperation and collaboration by the stakeholders of the industries, policymakers, and researchers in order to unlock AIoTs full potential towards achieving a greener, more efficient mobility paradigm.
