Production of a matter-wave bright soliton from a Bose-Einstein condensate

Abstract

We show the formation of matter-wave solitons from 7Li Bose-Einstein Condensate. Inter-atomic interactions are tuned magnetically in the vicinity of a Feshbach resonance. The soliton propagation without dispersion in an optical waveguide is demonstrated.
