Positionnement par le Défi: les Négociations des Rôles dans l'Interview Télévisée

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This paper analyses explicit and implicit role negotiations in the Israeli television news interviews, focusing on the use of challenge as a positioning strategy, with special emphasis on the use of address terms. It is claimed that the use of challenge conveys the speaker's view of the role which is its target. It is further shown that in the Israeli context, the use of address terms highlights the discursive value of challenge, and at the same time adds to it a variety of positioning nuances ?.?
