N2 - Understanding the performance capabilities of Platinum Silicide (PtSi) cameras in different scenarios is an important need of their potential users. TAMAM-IAI has developed an in-house comprehensive computer code (DETECTOR) in order to investigate the effect of various parameters such as the detector sensitivity, detector noise, different targets and atmospheric conditions, optics and electronics, on PtSi camera performance. In addition, TAMAM has modified the NVEOL Ratches Model so as to be suitable for staring arrays. In this work, we have collected commercially available information about the following cameras: David Sarnoff, Mitsubishi, and Loral Fairchild. Using our computer codes, we show how some of the different performance parameters of the cameras affect total system performance. We also compare the performance of the cameras as predicted by these codes, with the manufacturer-supplied data.
