Bibliographical note

Human culture, both in the past and present, has undergone (and is still undergoing) constant processes of change. Defined under the general rubric of “culture change” (see, e.g., Keesing 1973), they are amongst the most fascinating aspects in the study of human culture. Needless to say, within this wide definition, a broad range of processes and trajectories have been identified, both as causes and results. For example, much has been written on the changes caused by the movement of populations from one location to another, whether through migration, immigration, and/or other related processes.
