Abstract

The propagation of vortices in the presence of a bias current that provides a phenomena of phase transition in moving systems was discussed. It was found that the general stability criteria of the supercritical Ginzburg-Landau equations in moving media were considered for different forms of the convective velocity that may change in space and time. It was also found that this research led to the study of the properties and new applications in superconducting films. The results were correlated with the experiments on the propagation of vortices in superconducting films under the influence of a bias current.
