Abstract

The link between paraneoplastic syndromes and Hodgkin's disease is nowadays established. The haematological form of paraneoplastic syndromes in Hodgkin's disease is rare. The myelodysplastic features in peripheral blood picture as a paraneoplastic syndrome of Hodgkin's disease are unknown. The link between monocytosis and Hodgkin's disease is not clear. We present and discuss in this case report a case of Hodgkin's disease which appeared four years after an incidental finding of bicytopenia with a high MCV in peripheral blood without any proof of myelodysplasia in bone marrow examination. Absolute monocytosis appeared in the peripheral blood close to the appearance of Hodgkin's disease.
