Abstract
The cases of a 29-year-old man who had undergone renal transplantation, and a 28-year-old HIV-positive male from Israel, with pentamidine-induced cardiotoxicity following treatment for Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, are reported. Both patients had evidence of pentamidine-induced ECG changes; QT prolongation and T wave inversion appeared during treatment and resolved after the drug was discontinued.
