Abstract

The Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) protocol has been proposed to the TIA/ATIS Joint Technical Committee (JTC), along with other standards, to become the common air interface standard for the Personal Communications System (PCS). This paper gives an overview of some of the basic principles and concepts of the proposal and a high level description of the PCS CDMA system.
