Abstract

Based on the prior work conducted in the author's laboratories, a mismatch between the analytical and experimental data for assessing the Stirling engine output parameters was observed. To diminish the gap between the predictions and the measured data, this study discusses the inclusion of the air leakage effect in the numerical model. The results demonstrate a 25% decrease in the predicted pressure within the engine and 8% decrease in the output power. However, the deviation yet remains significant.
