Abstract

Protonation of sodium phenylethynyltellurolate with trifluoroacetic acid afforded trans-2,4-dibenzylidine-1,3-ditelluretan as the minor product, and cis- and trans-2,6-diphenyl-1,4-ditellurafulvenes (4) and (5) as the major products which latter represent the first examples of 1,3-ditelluroles.
