Abstract

Nanocrystalline multiferroic codoped bismuth ferrite (BFO) has been synthesized by using a sol-gel route. TEM analysis reveals that all the samples are pure and nanocrystalline in nature. We observed that electrical activation energy decreases for all the doped samples. Optical band gap also decreases for the doped samples which can be attributed to the creation of mid gap states.
